To better reflect the unprecedented growth of the business into the value-added glass and aluminium products, a new acronym was proposed for Africa Glass.
AGI – Aluminium and Glass Industries.
The letter forms are inspired by the aluminium extrusions illustrated in section.

The symbol is a metaphor for the harmony and dynamic tension that exists between these two distinctly different materials which come together to create the products of AGI. Products as diverse as integrated window systems, shower and bathroom products to industrial scale glazing solutions for commercial properties.
The two materials begin in harmony and move outward from each other to form a circular device but end in dynamic tension through a 90º connection. Various renderings of the symbol were created through 0º to 360º at 20º intervals. The identity relies on the dynamic nature inherent in the various renderings whilst the logotype remains the constant to which they are anchored.
